RFP announced for Walmart AIHEC HACU NAFEO Student Success Collaborative
The “Walmart AIHEC HACU NAFEO Student Success Collaborative” is seeking three colleges and universities with demonstrable success in retaining and graduating Hispanic students to participate in a two-year project to identify factors that promote Hispanic academic success and mentor a similar institution in order to replicate success. (A second round will seek three mentee institutions committed to improving their graduation and retention rates by learning from the mentor institutions.) Opportunities to interact with corresponding mentor/mentee institutions in the HBCU/PBI and Tribal College communities will be an important dimension of this Walmart Foundation grant-funded project.
This pilot project will benefit HSIs and the student community they serve. Applicants must be a HACU-member Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), i.e., must be an accredited and degree-granting public or private nonprofit institution of higher education with at least 25 percent or more total undergraduate Hispanic full-time equivalent student enrollment.
