The University Affirmative Action Committee and the Vice Chancellor for Human Resources Management established the Diversity Projects Development Fund to support scholarly research projects and other educational activities for or about populations that are traditionally under-represented within higher education. The purpose of the Fund is to assist in the development of educational projects, scholarly research, creative endeavors, and professional activities which promote diversity, multiculturalism, and non-discrimination on the basis of the following categories: race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, transgender, disability, genetic predisposition or carrier status, alienage or citizenship, veteran or marital status. Projects/activities will be considered which explore non-discrimination and the condition of the protected classes, for The City University of New York, including Italian-Americans.
